Melbourne is back in lockdown after a new covid-19 outbreak. 

멜버른은 Covid-19의 발생 이후 다시 락다운으로 돌아왔다. 

 

The whole state of Victoria has been closed, but not before the virus sneaked into next-door New South Wales.

빅토리아 주의 전체는 봉쇄되었으나, covid-19가 뉴 사우스 웨일의 바로 옆 동네를 침투하기 이전에는 아니였다. 

 

Australia is recording more daily cases of covid-19 ─ 532 on July 27th ─ than at the peak of the frist wave in March and April. 

호주는 보다 많은 일일 확진자를 기록중인데, 7월 27일 532명의 일일 확진자는 4월과 5월 최초의 covid-19 여파로 정점을 찍었던 때 보다 많은 일일 확진자 수치이다.

 

Australia is not alone. Japan has just recorded 1,000 daily cases for the first time, with Tokyo and Osaka (over 200 each) especially hard hit.

호주 뿐만이 아니다. 일본은 최초로 일일 확진자 1,000명을 기록하였으며, 각각 일일 확진자 200명을 넘는 도쿄와 오사카는 특히나 큰 타격을 받았다.

 

After Hong Kong's highly successful initial measure against the virus, just seven people died in the first wave. 

홍콩이 바이러스에 대응하여 매우 성공적인 최초의 조치를 취한 이래로, 오직 7명 만이 최초의 covid-19 여파로 사망했다. 

 

But daily infections have leapt to well over 100 a day, and deaths to 24. 

하지만 일일 확진자는 100명으로 도약했으며, 사망자는 24명에 달한다.

 

Restaurants and bars have shut again, masks are compulsory and gatherings of more than two prohibited. 

식당과 술집은 다시 문을 닫았으며, 마스크는 의무적으로 착용하고 2명보다 많은 인원들의 모임은 금지되었다.
